stagingarebelliontooustPresidentSnow,andmaybeevenkillhim.Throughoutthecourseof
thetwomovies,theimpactoftherevolutioncanbeseenonvariouscharactersandthegeneral
society.
Onecharacteronwhichtheimpactoftherevolutionisveryevidentisthemaincharacter,
KatnissEverdeen.Inthefirsttwomoviesoftheseries(
TheHungerGames
and
CatchingFire
),
Katnissisastrong,willful,andpowerfulyoungwomanwhoisfilledwithbraveryandreadyto
fight.Bythelasttwomovies,thefactsthattherevolutionwaskeptsecretfromherandthatthe
leaderoftherevolutionleftPeetaMellark(whoKatnissloves)intheclutchesoftheCapitolhave
takentheirtollandfilledKatnisswithguilt.WhenitbecomesclearthatKatnissisneededasa
figureheadtoinspireandunitepeoplefortherebellionscause,shehasapurposeonceagain.
However,thisputsalotofpressureonherandcauseshertostrugglewithherpersonalidentity
whilepretendingtobesomeoneelseforthenation.Itlimitsherpersonalfreedomandprevents
herfromdoingthingshowshewantstodothem,asPresidentCoiniscontrollinghertoensure
therebellionissuccessful.TherevolutionalsohasanimpactonKatnisssfamily.Prim,her

youngersister,wasonceasweetandgentlegirl,butwhenshewasneededintherebellion,she
rosetotheoccasionandbecameahealer.Sheeventuallydiesinabombingwhiletryingtoheal
theinjured,butitisobviousthattherevolutionmadeherstrongerandbraver.
TherevolutionagainstPresidentSnowandtheCapitolalsomeansthatanyalliesfromthe
CapitolmustleavetheirlivesofluxurytoliveinDistrict13.EffieTrinket,Katnisssescortto
theHungerGames,isdrasticallyaffectedbytherebellion.Thestrictrulesin13clampdownon
Effiesindividualityandforbidherfromdressingupinanyoftheoutrageousthingssheusedto
wearintheCapitol,whichishardforhertoadjustto.
Onthegeneralsociety,theongoingrebellioninPanemhasforcedeveryone,whether
theyliveintheCapitolortheDistricts,tobecometougher.Forexample,Galebecomesalot
moreruthlessandanalytical,seemingtofocusmoreonoverthrowingSnowratherthancare
aboutethicsorcasualties.IntheDistrict13,everyonemustliveunderstricterrules.Intherestof
theDistrictswherethebattlesaretakingplace,peoplemustlearntolivewiththebombsand
gunfire.IntheCapitol,thethreathasbecomerealandfearsetsin,despitePresidentSnows
reassurances.Bytheend,manyCapitolcitizensmustmovetoSnowspersonalmansionfor
safety,buttheyarebombedbeforetheycanenterthegates.
TherevolutioninPanemchangeseveryoneslivesandideas.Intheaftermath,thereis
confusionandchaos,asPresidentSnowisdeadandKatnisshaskilledPresidentCoin,butthe
electionssuggesthope,democracy,andorderinsteadofthefearthatSnowruledwith.Itwas
clearfromthebeginningoftheseriesthattherewastensionbetweentheDistrictsandthe
Capitol,buttherevolutionmakesanimpactonsocietyandshowsallofPanemthatchangecan
alwaysbebroughtabout.
