WEEK 5

In this lesson we thoroughly investigate Piaget and his stages. I learnt that
Piaget’s theory is known as action based and it is more concerned with the
process not the result. “Assimilation, Accomodation and Adaptation ” are the
new words for this lesson :) Then we met Jerome Bruner and his discovery
approach. Bruner sees the students as a whole person and says that they
should learn how to learn and it is also the key for autonomy (according to
my notes:)). Bruner also says that learning in schools must have a purpose
and we have to challenge to students to teach new things. Then Bruner
introduces his three modes of thinking ; enactive, iconic and symbolic.
Finally we studied George Kelly and his personal-construct theory.

What I had difficulty in figuring out was that I have a diffuculty about
remember the every name of the founder and the theory I afraid of mixing
them in the exam.

I suppose I need to focus more on remembering the names?!

I believe these informations are very important not only in the classrom but
also in the all aspects of life. They help us to understand ourselves and each
other I think.
