Apprenticeships
The Framework
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
This is the practical part of your Apprenticeship and is achieved by
creating an electronic portfolio of evidence that will need to meet
set criteria, proving you know how to do the job. Your Diploma is
assessed on the job as well as in College.

Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care


This Your Technical Certificate is specific to your profession or job It
is the theory qualification for which you will have sessions in College.

There are 9 Units in total and there will be tasks and assignments set
for each of the units

Apprenticeships
The Framework
Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights and Health and
Social Care
This qualification will enable you to understand you rights as an employee
and your responsibilities in the sector. There is 1 unit and assignment
relating to this qualification.
Functional Skills

There are 2 main Functional Skills that you will complete which are maths
and English including speaking and listening.
You will have to sit external exams.

Roles & Responsibilities


When you start an Apprenticeship, Exeter College will draw
up a Learning Plan that is individual to you. It will detail
exactly what you will cover throughout your
Apprenticeship.
The college has a code of conduct for all students and

Grievance Procedure
Grievance in the workplace;
If you feel you have been treated unfairly or you have
a reason for dispute within your workplace, there should
be a person or department to contact with whom you
can discuss your grievance.

If you are unsure of who the contact is, or perhaps you


cannot approach your employer on the subject, you
should contact your Skills Officer who will help you and
treat your grievance with confidentiality according to
Exeter College procedures.
