The students enjoyed many tasty things during the

20th week of school. For the third consecutive week,
our class got a pizza party thanks to John Kirby and
his first place in the country on Ticket to Read. For
the first of many Fridays to come, the students
enjoyed a free healthy snack courtesy of our PTO.
Not all things were quite so tasty though. Mrs.
Hamilton surprised the students with the Jelly Bean
Challenge where students had to get out of their
taste comfort zones. Check out the video on the
blogs. Academically, the students continued our
opinion writing unit to prepare for the TNReady
tests. We also got our new grant equipment out and
worked on our first set of ELA songs. All in all, the
week 20 was pretty amazing.
