condition, circumstance, or religious
beliefhas the dignity of being Gods
image bearer, and deservesand should
be grantedequal honor and respect by
all other human beings.

Todo ser humano, no importa sua

condio, crena religiosa ou as
circunstncias, tem a dignidade da
imagem e semelhana de Deus, e
merece honra e respeito.

Seeing others as Gods

image bearers should
should cause us, as
individuals, to view and
treat others with respect,
regardless of our
differences. It should also
cause us to look
at ourselves with respect
and dignity.

Ver que as pessoas tm a

imagem e semelhana de
Deus deveria nos libertar
de preconceitos por raa,
religio e qualquer outro
tipo. Cada um deveria
considerar e tratar os
outros com respeito,
apesar das diferenas.
Deveria tambm nos
fazer olhar para ns
mesmos com respeito e
dignidade.

To realize that God loves and

values us should help us to value
ourselves mentally, physically,
and spiritually. It should cause us
to view ourselves positively, to
take care of ourselves physically,
to nurture our spirits with positive
and godly input. It should remind
us of the sanctity of our own
lives, thus keeping us from
harming ourselves in any way.

Entendermos que Deus nos ama

deveria nos ajudar a nos
valorizarmos mental, fsica e
espiritualmente e nos dar uma
viso positiva de ns mesmos, de
nos cuidarmos fisicamente, e, no
temor a Deus, alimentarmos
nossos espritos de maneira
positiva. Deveria nos lembrar que
nossa vida sagrada, impedindonos assim de nos auto
prejudicarmos.

We should recognize that

despite any personal
weaknesses or failures, how
we may perceive our own
worth, how we view our
physical appearance or our
education or mental abilities,
we are valued by God and thus
should value ourselves.

Ns deveramos reconhecer
que, apesar dos nossos pontos
fracos e defeitos, e da maneira
como percebemos nosso valor,
aparncia fsica e habilidades
acadmicas ou intelectuais,
Deus nos valoriza, portanto
tambm deveramos nos
valorizar.

Realizing that God values

human beings, that He loves
and cares for us, should
cause us to value humanity,
to recognize the worth of
every person, ourselves
included, and to do what we
can to live in harmony and
peace with others.

Perceber que Deus valoriza

os seres humanos, que Ele
nos ama e Se importa,
deveria nos fazer valorizar a
humanidade, reconhecer o
valor de cada pessoa,
inclusive o nosso, e nos
esforarmos ao mximo por
viver em harmonia e paz com
outros.
