As we have decided the qualities of a good communicator are -- good word choice, clarity,
ability to condense thoughts in an organized manner, deliver information efficiently, good
grammar and punctuation.

Background Information on Candidate

I have interviewed a potential candidate, Aaron Bicknell, for a position on our writing team. He
is a sophomore at Oregon State University and he is a Health and Human Sciences major. He is
taking WR 214 in order to fulfill a baccalaureate core requirement.

Writing Strengths and Experiences

Aaron states impromptu writing as his strength. He has plenty of group working experience from
his previous business classes. Relevant writing and business experiences include WR 121 and
BA 101.

Future Goals and Achievements

Aaron’s professional and personal goals are to graduate and receive his degree. After graduating
he would like to get a job that he enjoys. He says being on the Dean’s List was an achievement
that has given him personal satisfaction.

Strong Recommendation

I have no doubt that Aaron is the most qualified person for our team. He was very enthusiastic
during the interview process and showed a lot of curiosity. He is willing to learn and put in effort
in order to meet the demands. I hope that you all will find him suitable for this position as well.
