We will assure a cognitivist approach for the lesson. We will utilize an eclectic approach
by combining Drill Practice, Cooperative Learning, Role Play. The lesson will be teacherstudent centered. The method which we will use for those lessons will be The Direct
Method (from FLE specific methods).The target language will be used in the lessons.

Summary
The lesson will be about introducing the students Quidditch game and its rules. After a
short explanation of the modals, we will have an exercise for students. Then, we will
have a demonstration of the players characteristics and afterwards a role play will be
performed by the students.

The evaluaton will be done by teachers observation over the role play and the
handouts.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
The lesson will start with a Prezi presentation. In this presentation , we will explain the
game called as Quidditch and we will show a short video about the game. After
showing the video , we will start to help the students learn specific modals such as CanCant-Be able to-Must-Have to by using specific examples related to the Quidditch
players. After the Prezi presentation, the handouts will be given to the students. In those
handouts, the students will make some exercises about modals to overlearn the subject.
Then, by using Bubbl.us, we will identify the players and explain the characteristics and
the tasks of them. By using this, the students will be able to use the adjectives in
sentences. After that, we will have a role play which students act as the player they have
chosen and will describe themselves by using adjectives and will explain their tasks by
using modals.
As a back-up plan, there will be a hard-copy of Prezi presentation and Bubbl-us activity
for each student.

will have a speaking task as a group activity. At the end of the lesson, we will have a

The lesson will start with a Stupeflix video about The Triwizard Tournament and its rules.
After the video , the students will be given the handouts, and we will start to help the
students learn specific modals which are May Might Need - Neednt Should - Ought
to by using specific examples related to the tournament. Afterwards, there will be a
speaking practice session. The students will make conversations with each other by
expressing observation and making suggestions by using appropriate modals. At the end
of the lesson, there will be quiz which covers the topics of the two weeks lessons.
As a back-up plan, A text will be prepared about the content of the video.
Speaking task
Summary
The lesson will be about introducing the students The Pod Race. After a video about it,
we will have an easly-ly activity followed by a studyblue activity. Then, the students will
be given handouts about the perfect modals. At the end of the lesson , we will have a
speaking task as a group activity.

The lesson will start with a short video which shows the sport called as the pod race.
After watching the video, the students will have an easly-ly activity. In this activity, we
will have demonstration about which perfect modals can be used related to the pod race.
Then, we will have five flashcards showing the students in which situation modals can be
used. Finishing the flashcards, the students will be given handouts which contains fill-inthe- blanks exercises about perfect modals. At the end of the lesson, the students will do
a speaking activity with each other using the perfect modals related to the pod race
video. In addition, the students will be given an assignment ( writing a paragraph which
includes all of the modals that have been covered for three weeks).
As a back-up plan, we will narrate the incidents of the pod race video. We will have a
