Important Dates

We had another great week! This week

Wednesday, January 20th we focused on verbs. Please check out our blog
in school Science field trip with a video with a verb rap song the children
have been learning. We hope you enjoy the long
weekend!

Notes
Coats, Hats & Gloves: As the
weather changes, please make
sure your child has a coat to
wear for Morning Prayer. While
the temperature usually warms
up throughout the day, we stand
in the shade in the mornings for
Morning Prayer and it gets very
cold. We have told the children
they should put their gloves in
their coat pockets so they do not
loose their gloves. Please try to
remind them at home to do the
same so we arent missing any
gloves at the end of the cold season!

Academically Next Week...

Reading Groups: We will continue to work on our written responses
for comprehension questions.
Phonics: We will start Unit 8 in Fundations. Please look on our blog
for the parent letter for Unit 8 to explain all this!
Religion: We will continue working through Chapter 14: Sharing the
Good News. Please remember to be signing the weekly review. The
children will lose a Good Time Ticket if it is not signed.
Math: We will continue with Chapter 6: Geometry. We will be focusing on the following concepts: solid figures, plane figures, vertices, and
edges.
