- Each country has its own unique traditional food


and its own eating manners that can be different or
similar to other countries.
- Food and manners of eating can be similar or
different between the Arabs in the Arabic speaking
countries and the U.S culture.
- How is the breakfast meal similar or different
between the Arab culture and the U.S.
- What are the similarities and differences between
the Arabs food and the U.S. when it comes to:
Traditional food, breakfast meal, eating manners and
food preparations?
SWBAT:
- Identify the traditional food in some Arabic
speaking countries.
- Identify the recipes of some famous Arabic dishes.
- Compare the type of food that Arabs people eats in
their breakfast vs. U.S.
- Understand the manners of eating in the Arab
dining table.
Interpretive Mode:
- Students will search the websites for a traditional
Arabic food from different Arab countries then
answer the questions in the handout that they got
from the teacher.
Interpersonal Mode:
- You want to invite your friend for Arabic breakfast,
however your friend doesn't know much about
Arabic cuisine, describe the food, ingredients and
compare the differences and similarities with
breakfast in the U.S.
Presentational Mode:

- Your grandmother is visiting town, you want to


invite her for Arabic food. However, your sibling
wants to invite her for Mexican food. Prepare a
slideshow using PowerPoint/Prezi or video to show
her 3 famous traditional food convincing her why she
should try the Arabic cuisine.
