TROOP 24

PERMISSION SLIP
FOR the Klondike Derby
I,___________________________________________ give my son,
_____________________________________________ permission to accompany Boy Scout
Troop 24 to the February Klondike Derby camping trip being held at POUCH CAMP,
in the Black Rock cabin on Staten Island.
We will be meeting at 7pm on Friday Feb 26th at scout hall, leaving shortly after,
and returning to scout hall on Sunday Feb 28th at approximately 10am. The cost
is $25 per person (early bird special!) and after February 15th it will be $30. The $10 fee for
Derby participation is included in the cost for the weekend.
This will be a Klondike Derby weekend and the scouts will be competing in skill based
events as patrols. Fire building, The Big Ski, and other fun team events.
It's a winter time version of the Camporee! This cabin has no electricity, you will not be able
charge any devices.

As well, as always, there will be other fun activities and interesting meal preparations.

I hereby agree to hold harmless the Troop, it's leaders, and any other adults attending this function,
pertaining to any injuries my son might sustain. I further authorize the troop leaders to act on my
behalf if my son needs any first aid or medical attention. In case of an emergency I can be contacted
