This week in science class, students reviewed the digestive system and took an assessment on the topic. They then began learning about the circulatory and respiratory systems, diagramming the heart and exploring related vocabulary. Plans for tomorrow include building a lung model and further exploring how the respiratory and circulatory systems work together. The quarter is ending tomorrow, with grades on Edline being final, and upcoming topics will include the circulatory and respiratory systems during college week.

This week, we will reviewed all the organs of the digestive system and took the assessment for the digestive system. Grades for the digestion assessment will be on 3rd quarters grade. Thursday, we started to learn about the respiratory system and the circulatory systems. We used the Chromebooks and scientific texts to determine the functions and path of the circulatory system. We also diagramed the anatomy of the heart. We took a closer look at the following vocabulary and determined the function and examples of: blood, arteries, capillaries, and veins. If there is school tomorrow, we will start to learn about the respiratory system by making a working model of a lung. We will also use Chromebooks and scientific texts to learn more about the respiratory system and see how the respiratory system works directly with the circulatory system. Announcements: Tomorrow is the last day of the quarter. My gradebook is closed, so the grade that you see on Edline is the end of quarter grade for your child. All assignments that were collected this week, will be on next quarters grade.
