Europeans Colonize the World

A Sense of Superiority
The Europeans felt superior to the indigenous
people
Therefore they had no problem taking
possession of the land
They began to exploit the resources and
dominate the populations of this land
This process is called Colonization

Two Types of Colony

The Colony of Exploitation:
Occupied by soldiers and merchants who sent
goods back to the mother country
The Colony of Settlement:
Had permanent settlers of every trade and
profession
Consisted of men, women and children
