George is a Qualified Social Worker and a Priest in the

Church of England.
He is currently responsible for a large Parish (which includes
Slough Trading Estate) and two Churches in Slough.
George is parent to three Children, two of whom were pupils
at Iver Village Junior School and are now at Secondary
School.
George is also a Foundation Governor of Churchmead School
in Datchet and Chair of the Finance Committee there.

Chris Clarke

Chris graduated in Computer Science from Canterbury
University in New Zealand, and has lived in the UK since
2000. He now leads a global team of business change
consultants for Amdocs, a large telecommunications
Software and Services provider.
Chris and his Scottish wife Claire have two children who are
both in the Iver Village schools.
Chris has a keen interest in emerging technologies, and its
impact on our society. He has been instrumental in the
schools IT system renewal, and brings a professional
experience in IT and Management to the governing body.
Outside of professional interests, Chris enjoys travelling, DIY
and spending leisure time exploring the countryside with
Claire and the children.

Mark Vinall
Community Governor
Responsibilities: Equalities
Committee: Curriculum & Standards
Mark is a barrister at Blackstone Chambers in London,

specialising in commercial disputes, media and
entertainment law and public law.
Mark grew up in Reading before attending Jesus College,
Oxford. He and his wife, Pippa, moved to the area in 2002,
and have lived in Richings Park for the last six years.
They have three children, the older two of whom attend Iver
Village Junior School.
He became a governor in January 2015.

Tim Bassett
Community Governor
Responsibilities: PE
Committee: Finance Premises (Chair), Complaints Panel
Tim was born and grew up in Sussex. He has worked in the

Insurance Industry for 30 years and is a Chartered Insurer.
He has been a Community/Foundation Governor since 2012. He
is currently the Chair of the Finance Committee.
He and his wife Claire moved to Richings Park in 2001 and their
daughter Natasha has attended the school since 2012.
His hobbies include playing Golf, watching most sports, going to
the theatre and appearing of TV shows he was once a
contestant on the Krypton Factor.

Paula Entwisle
Parent Governor
Responsibilities: Science
Committee: Curriculum and Standards
Paula grew up in Surrey, moving to Iver in 1997. After

originally gaining a degree in Industrial Biology at South
Bank University in 1993, a career change following the start
of her family led to an Early Years Professional qualification
in 2010. She now assists in the management of Iver
Community Childcare CIC.
Paula lives with her partner and children, all of which have
attended the school. The youngest, Mark, is still a pupil at
Iver Village Junior School.

John Barrett
Community Governor
Responsibilities include: Maths / Pupil Premium
Committee: Curriculum Committee
Johns career was in telecoms, engineering and operations

management; he worked in the UK and overseas before
retiring.
John lives in Iver with his wife and son.
John has been a community governor since 2012 and sits
on the Curriculum Committee.
His interests include football walking reading and current
affairs.

Jill Digweed
Head Teacher

Jill graduated from Reading University, in 1995, having studied

for a Bed (Hons) with Environmental Science. Jill Started her
teaching career at Highworth Combined School in High
Wycombe where she held a variety of leadership roles including
English subject leader and Phase Leader. In addition, Jill spent a
period of time teaching in America developing her knowledge of
teaching techniques. When Jill returned to the UK she worked as
a Deputy Head in a High Wycombe school before moving to Iver.
Jill lives with 2 very demanding cats that require lots of attention!
In her free-time Jill enjoys travelling, bike rides, reading and
eating out.

Clare Rogers
Staff Governor
Responsibilities include:

Clare studied English literature at University of Hull.

Followed by a year working as a Maths and English tutor
and learning support assistant, gaining valuable
classroom experience before completing her PGCE in
Primary Education at Brunel University in 2013.
Since joining IVJS as an NQT Clare has taught in year
three, five and six, co-ordinated Maths, PE and Art and
joined the senior leadership team in 2015 as upper
school phase leader.
Clares hobbies include travelling.

Pat Leech
Community Governor
Responsibilities include:

Standards, SEN, Health and Safety
Pat trained in Production for Films and Advertising

and spent most of her working life in that industry.
After working for JWT and Saatchi and Saatchi she
specialized in Pharmaceutical Advertising as
Production Manager for major prescribed drugs. She
also spent time on Research into the Misuse of drugs
(ie. Heroin/cocaine etc) and HIV which was reported
at government level.
She is married with 2 daughters and 2 grandsons who
are still in full time education
Her hobbies (apart from her grandchildren) include
Gardening, Reading and Genealogy. She is also a
Fellow of ZSL
Pat Leech stepped down from her role in January
2016.
