Alyse Rubenzer's goal is to determine if integrating technology into teaching makes students more engaged and improves their grades. She also wants to see if any strategies or activities motivate enrichment students. To assess student learning, she will give tests on computer and paper to compare scores, and collect observation notes, videos and student work samples. As this is a new classroom, she plans to use the overhead, smart board and online quizzes. To evaluate the impact of changes, she will collect student work done using technology as well as observation notes, videos and tests to monitor student motivation.

Wondering: How can I effectively integrate technology into my teaching? Or, How can I motivate enrichment students? What are your goals for student learning related to your inquiry? To see if integrating technology makes students more engaged, interested in what Im teaching, and improves their grades. To see if any of the strategies or activities I do with the enrichment students motivates them. What formative or diagnostic data might you collect to determine if your student learning goals are being met? I could give them tests on the computer and on paper pencil and see which they score better on. I could collect observation notes, videos, and pictures of student work. As you reflect on your work last semester, what ideas do you have for changes/actions/strategies in your teaching practice that you might make to support your student learning goals? This wondering is not the same one that I did the previous semester. I am in a new grade and classroom. I didnt use much technology in my teaching in previous semesters. I would want to use the overhead, the smart board, and online quiz makers. My wondering was about motivating gifted students; since there are none in my new classroom I changed it to enrichment students. I could try new strategies and activities to see if they helped with student motivation. What data might you collect related to the changes/actions/strategies you are trying in your teaching practice? I could collect the work that they do that involved my use of technology. If its a test or a quiz then I could collect that.
I could collect observation and reflective notes; I also could
collect videos to monitor the students motivation.
