This study examined the correlation between follicle diameter and oocyte quality markers like polar body-1 (PB-1) and cytoplasmic inclusion (CI) in an in vitro fertilization (IVF) program. The study analyzed 70 follicles divided into groups based on diameter of ≥15mm or <15mm. Results showed that follicles ≥15mm had a 5.46 times higher odds of PB-1 positivity and 3.5 times higher odds of CI negativity compared to follicles <15mm. Thus, the probability of higher oocyte quality based on these markers was greater for larger follicles of ≥15mm diameter in IVF programs.

CORRELATION PRESENT BETWEEN THE POLAR BODY FOLLICLE
DIAMETER AND INCLUSION OOCYTE CYTOPLASM PRIMER ON REPRODUCTIVE TECHNICAL PROGRAM IN VITRO FERTILIZATION The controlled of ovarian stimulation on ART-IVF program has multifollicles effect with wide variation of follicle diameter; but the oocyte quality is still questionable. Meanwhile, the main indicators of oocyte quality are PB-I and CI. This study aims to know the correlation between follicle diameter to the PB-1 positive and CI negative. The results of this study could be use to determine follicle diameter needed to acquire good oocyte quality in order to increase successful ART-IVF. An observational of non matching nested case control study is used, conducted in Unit Bayi Tabung Graha Tunjung RSUP Sanglah and Prima Medika Hospital Denpasar by year 2011-2012. The samples are follicles and oocytes during ovum pick up. The follicle measurement are done by FER consultant using USG 2D Alokatype SSD 500 transvaginal during 36 hours after hCG administration. The cases group are follicle with diameter 15 mm andthe controls group are follicle with diameter< 15 mm. The measurement of PB-1 positive and SI negative are done by embriologist 4-6 hours after ovum pick up using the electron microscope Nikon model. Furthermore, chi square test on SPSS-17 version for windows is use to analyse OR and data are presented by table and narration. An amount of 70 follicles are divided in two groups consists of 35 follicle diameter 15 mm as the cases and 35 follicle diameter < 15 mm as the controls. The study found that the OR of PB-1 positive onfollicle 15 mm follicle are 5.46 times (ci 95% = 2.96-8.18, p= 0.01) compared with < 15 mm follicle diameter. The OR of CI negative on 15 mm diameter follicle was 3.5 times (ci 95% = 2.377.86, p = 0.02) compare with < 15 mm follicle diameter. It also resulted the discriminant coefficient of positive PB-1 and negative CI of follicle diameter 15 mm each are 0.97 and 0.76. The Conclusions of an ART-IVF program are as follows. The probability of positive PB-1 and negative CI of oocytes on follicle diameter 15 mm were 5.5 and 3.5 times over oocytes on follicle diameter < 15 mm, eventually. Thus, in a ART-IVF program, the oocyte quality of larger follicle is better than smaller on.. Keywords: follicle diameter, polar body-1, cytoplasmic inclusion.
