Samuel Hears God

January 24-January 30

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and

confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each
day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker
on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional.
At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion
and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks
Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in
the foyer of Power Source.

God wants to speak to me. I will be quiet and listen.

Father God,

Young Samuel worked in the temple with Eli, the priest.

One night, he heard a voice calling him two different
times, Samuel, Samuel! Both times he ran to see what
Eli wanted. Eli realized it must be God calling to Samuel.
The third time Samuel heard the voice, he said Speak,
Lord, I am listening. God told him important things to
come.
1 Samuel 3:1-14

I put my trust in You. I will listen when you speak to me.

Thank you for my parents, teachers, friends, Pastor Ron
and his family. May the joy of the Lord be their strength
(Neh. 8:10). Forgive me when I make bad choices. Help
me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and
I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell others how
great You are and how much I love you. Thank you that
because of Jesus, I am healed and whole.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Im listening, Lord. 1 Samuel 3:9

Proverbs 3:5-6
I trust in the Lord with all my heart. I dont lean on my
own understanding.
