    Where Im From

    An autobiographical poem by Ellah Bradshaw

    I am from Leos from Elite and Varsity.


    I am from the ripples in the swimming pool,
    I am from the juicy, flavorful watermelon, the strong, thick, vines that entails fruits
    I am from scrabble and goofiness, from a brave mother and the strong father and the
    honorable brother
    I am from the handwork of others and the courage to be strong always
    From always believing I am capable of anything and learning to forgive and forget
    I am from the Lord our Savior.
    I'm from Texas and the growing community,
    Macaroni Grill- Penne Rustica and gummy worms
    From the scar on my forehead, the busted nose on my sister, and the re-stitched finger on
    my brother
    I am from the bottom of the TV cabinet, holding the most treasured possessions of MY
    family and MY life.
