paragraph open with a transition word? Does each body paragraph
include one topic sentence, one supporting evidence, and one
explanation? Please write in complete sentences.
3. Each quote (evidence), must have quotation marks around it. Do they?
Does each supporting quote include a page number in parenthesis after
the quote?
4. Briefly explain why your partner does or does not do a good job explaining
why his or her quotes support the thesis statement.
5. What exact grammar errors did you notice in your partner’s essay? Go
back in your partner’s essay and circle these errors.
6. Does your partner restate his or her thesis in the conclusion? Clearly
describe the way in which the conclusion ends. How could your partner make
his or her conclusion more exciting?
