Hello, All.

My thanks to you for a very good meeting yesterday regarding

elementary education, the ELOs, DQP, transfer, and how we make
students successful at every level. Lois, your work at SLCC fits
very well with our efforts to be clear about what we expect of our
students, write in our syllabi, and articulate to them. Dee, your
example of how you continually set different contexts while
articulating what students are learning in different settings was
most helpful.
SLCC is definitely giving students the foundation they need to be
successful once they transfer to the elementary education major
at the U of U.
We decided to bring your faculty, Lois (all three of you), and
yours, Dee (all five of you), together to continue the conversation.
I offer my office as the host site. I leave this up to you.
Again, my thanks for a very productive meeting. I feel fortunate to
have such dedicated and competent colleagues.
