millions of computers
all over the world. The
Internet is used to send
information quickly
between computers
around the world.

HISTORY OF THE INTERNET

The Internet was developed in the United States by the United States
Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency" (DARPA)
ARPANET was the first WAN (wide area network) and had only 4
sites in 1969.
In 1989,the US government lifted restrictions on the use of Internet
and allow its usage for commercial purposes as well.
Today, people can pay money to access the Internet from Internet
Service Providers.

The Internet is used for many things,

such as electronic mail, online
chat, file transfer, and the
interlinked web pages and other
documents of the World Wide Web.

Uses of Internet
Internet is used to access information, news, and educational
material.
It is used to conduct business
It is used for communication between different parts of the
world.
It is also used for entertainment purposes such as gaming,
watching videos etc.

2) WIRELESS (Wi Fi)
