Rx Imola C1 wash procedure

The following Procedure should be carried out at least twice a year at 1000 hour and 2000
hour Preventative Maintenance visits or as required to remove Bacterial or Fungal buildup from the RX Imola Analyser.
C1 Wash solution is available from Randox order number RX3973.

Switch off the analyser and the PC.


Remove maintenance covers L1 and R1 by loosening 2xM4x8 screws of each side.
Pull out the L-sub tank as shown on the picture below.

Loosen bottle tops and remove all tubes and the floating sensor.
Empty the sub tank and fill it with C1 solution up to the high level mark.
Insert all tubes back into the sub Tank.
Repeat steps from 3 to 6 for the R-sub tank.
Disconnect water supply tubing.
Switch on the analyser and the PC.
Press cancel on the pop-up screen appears. See on picture below

10. Use engineering password to login.

11. Connect injector syringe as shown on the picture below.

Open Mainte (F10)/Sequence screen on the user interface software.


Tick Sub-Tank R EV. Set Time to 20 secs.
Press Exec to open the valve. While valve is open withdraw a full syringe of the liquid.
Disconnect syringe tubing and empty the syringe.
Re-connect the syringe.
Tick Sub-Tank L EV box. Set Time to 20secs.
Press Exec to open the valve. While valve is open withdraw a full syringe of the liquid.
Leave syringe connected to analyser for 15-20 min to allow C1 dissolve stains inside the valves.

Keep the syringe connected and proceed as follows.


Prime analyser once. After prime is finished top up the sub tanks with C1 solution.
Run cuvette wash.
When cuvette wash is finished, run cuvette water placement and leave analyser for 15-20 mins to allow
internals stains to be dissolved.
23. Empty sub tanks of all remaining C1 solution.
24. Connect system water supply.
25. Perform a Cuvette Water Displacement
26. Prime analyser 3 times to remove remaining C1 solution.
27. Put maintenance covers back on, the C1 wash is now complete.
28. Run a Rabs and Sabs test to ensure operation is normal.
