Two Inkster Men Charged in the Christmas Eve Carjacking and
Homicide of Musician Anthony L. Tolson Charles Cox, 35 (DOB: 6/10/80) and Darnell Gene-Arthur Young 18, (DOB: 02/20/1997), both of Inkster, have been charged with First Degree Murder, Felony Murder, Carjacking, Armed Robbery and Felony Firearm in connection with the December 24, 2015 homicide of musician Anthony L. Tolson that occurred in the 14990 block of Gratiot in Detroit. Defendant Cox faces an additional charge of Felon in Possession. Both defendants have been arraigned and remanded to jail. The probable cause hearings are scheduled for January 22, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. and the preliminary examinations are scheduled for January 28, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. before 36th District Court Judge Shannon Holmes.
