Characteristics of Living Organisms Extra Credit

Claim:
All living organisms . Eat pizza for energy.

Evidence this claim is wrong:

1. Iron bacteria (Thiobacillus ferrooxidans) are a species of bacteria that
get their energy from iron. These bacteria can be found in drinking
wells, around water pipes, and other water sources. These bacteria get
their energy by oxidizing iron, which means electrons are released
when iron mixes with oxygen.

2. The Giant African Land Snail (Achatina fulica) are a species of snails
that get their energy from eating fruit, decaying plants, bones from
animal carcasses, stones, and vegetables.
Conclusion:
All living organisms DO NOT eat pizza for energy.
