1. Q: Who are the characters in the story? Describe each in one
sentence.
A: Johnsy- the one who is sick and has a pneumonia.
Sue- a painter and the friend of Johnsy.
Behrman- an old man and the one who paints a vine with a leaf
that is in the window of Johnsy.
Doctor- the one that checks the patients.
2. Q: In five (5) sentences, write the plot summary of the story
A: There are two painters named Sue and Johnsy had their studio in
Greenwich Village, Johnsy has a pneumonia. The doctor tell Sue about
Johnsys disease so Sue go to Johnsys room and talk to her. Johnsys
thinks that she is dying when the last leaf on the vine on her window
fell but Sue tell her that she has a large chances for getting well. Sue
went to Behrman a painter who lives on the ground floor beneath
them, and decided to help Johnsy but Sue knew that Behrman also
have pneumonia and died in the hospital. At last they realizes that the
reason why the painting is not moving even when the wind blew is that
because it is only the masterpiece of Behrman.
3. Q: What did you learn from the story? Answer in five (5) sentences
A: I learned from the story dont judge other people by their history
because all people can make a change in their life. Another one is
dont wish to die for your own sake. Because we have friends that we
can left when we die. Dont base your life on the things in the
surroundings. Because only God knows when you will die and we dont
know it so we cannot know our death.
