Dear parents,
I have two very good news to share with
you. The first one has to do with reading. On
Wednesday, the students took the STAR reading
test, which measures their skills at reading. I
was very excited when I got the results. There
has been significant progress. As a class, they
have a GE of 6.4. That means that overall they
are reading at a level of a sixth grader in the
fourth month. You will get their individual
reports on Tuesday in the blue folder. I will also
send some information regarding AR for this
quarter.
The second good news is that I have been
contacted by Mike Tomazin, who has been in
charge of the Wagon Train for the past four
years and yes, we will get to go again. We
dont know the exact dates yet, but it will
probably be the first week of May. I would to
acknowledge that the reason we get invited
every year is for the outstanding behavior our
students have always showed. I know this year
wont be an exception.

Reading Background to the Colonies
(They need the passage for the test)
Wednesday: Math 7.1 7.3
Friday: Spelling Unit 14
