1. Literacy:

Read your leveled reading book aloud to your parents for 10 minutes per
night. Remember to fill out your reading log.
Turn in your reading log on Friday for
your teacher to check.
2. Literacy:
Each time you read this week, have your parents ask you some of the Book
Talk questions which are on the back of this sheet (or below on weebly). Answer them
orally.
3. Inquiry:
We are wrapping up our unit on How We Express Ourselves on Thursday! The
children have come up with their own celebration and will have it on display for other
grade levels to come look at. The children should bring in any items they need for their
display no later than Thursday, December 17th. They might needs things like special
clothing or food.
4. Reading Challenge:
Next week your child will come home with a special reading
challenge that can be done over our long winter break. The challenge will be explained
to the children before it gets sent home. The packet also has directions on it for parents
as well. It should be a fun engaging way to get kids to read over break!
