that took place in 1866 right after the civil war. This shows how the civil war made the
sport of baseball explode all over the country.

n.d. Web. 01 Feb. 2016. This document is another picture of a ball that was used during
the civil war and this shows that there was a lot of baseball activity during the time in the
civil war.
"Civil War Letter Arthur White." American Settlers in Cuba. N.p., n.d. Web. 01
Feb. 2016. This is a letter from a soldier sent home to his wife. He explains what how
everything is going and what he does. One of those things is baseball. He explains to
her the game which in the long run will make this sport ignite and spread all over the
nation.

soldiers would play baseball against other groups of soldiers and, this letter is promoting
the game because this letter was sent home to his wife.

was used during the civil war by the soldiers. This explains that during the civil war,
baseball was being played which made a big impact later in life.

the civil war. They brought the game with them after the war. They showed people this

n.d. Web. This a baseball team that is called Lawrence. This is one of many teams that
have formed since the civil war. A chain reaction took place after the civil war because
of all of the people getting involved with baseball.
