Job Summary:
The Lands office takes care of all land matters and issues of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. This position is responsible and
accountable to the Director of Community Services in compliance with the Resources, Lands & Environment Management
Program (RLEMP), to co-manage all matters concerning the administration of reserve and designated lands in the TMT;
creation, transfer and registration of all real property; document execution and registration; procurement of legal surveys,
notification of needs and requirements; obtaining approvals and registration; agricultural leases, cottage leases, hay tenders;
development and maintenance of client, organizational and Federal agency documentation and Cemetery management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from a Post-Secondary program in Lands Management, Estates or Community Planning with 3 years
experience in a First Nations setting;
OR
Graduation from a Post-Secondary program in a related field with 5 years experience in a First Nations setting;
OR
A combination of education and experience which demonstrate ability to perform the job, with a minimum requirement
of a Professional Lands Management Certification with one year proven experience
Valid Ontario Class G license and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
High level of administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must have a positive and cheerful approach with public
Must have computer skills and ability to learn new systems (i.e. NetLands/ILRS)
Must be willing to obtain/maintain PLM Certification as per NALMA guidelines
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
