FLEXIBILITY AND TECHNOLOGIZATION OF RESEARCH

ASSESSMENT DISCOURSE
Summary
The paper analyses flexibility and technologization as features of research assessment
discourse self-assessment reports at Serbian faculties. Two prevailing features are
described: firstly, the domination of specific statements as macro-textual characteristics;
secondly, approximate and non-numerical modes of quantifying activities and the
results of these institutions. Consequently, it is clear that the primary aim of analyzed
texts is exchange of values, and that self-assessment discourse is commodified and
technologized.
