Wear It Red Day!

Thank you to everyone who has supported
our Wear It Red Day fundraiser for the
Leeds Childrens Heart Surgery Fund and
Heart Research UK. The final amount raised
for these great charities will be published in
the next newsletter. As well as raising lots
of money for our
chosen charities, Key Stage
2 classes have
been learning
about how to
keep their heart
healthy with
Heart UK and we had a very special visitor
come along on Friday morning to support our
sponsored skip!

Valentines Disco
We had a lot of fun dancing the night away
at our Valentines Disco on Thursday evening. Many thanks to all staff and Kerry who
helped make the evening a success.

Y2 Parent Event
Thank you to all the Y2 parents and carers
who came to support our learning and help to
make some fabulous London landmarksthe
finished sculptures are fantastic!

Thank you to our PTA and Mrs Hamilton and

Mrs Lawton for running a very successful
Valentines bun sale and raffle. They raised
a fabulous 269.

Safer Internet Day

Next Tuesday is Safer Internet day. Even though well be
on half term next week, our eCadets have been busy
spreading the word of how we can stay safe online. In a special assembly on Wednesday they taught us all the importance of Place, Face, Open Space. Parents can download
the Schoop app for free and use
the access code: 58536 to start getting
their weekly online safety top tips, news
and advice. The app can be downloaded on
Google Play or iTunes by searching for
'Schoop' and looking for the below icon.

SMSAs Wanted
We currently have 2 vacancies for

Sports Round Up
Last Friday twenty four of our KS1 learners
went to Barnsley College to the Team Relays
competition. There were 200 children in 18
teams. All the teams had to do various relays
from running, balancing bean bags, to hockey
dribbles and speed bounce techniques. Our
children showed great perseverance throughout the afternoon and our 3 teams came 9th,
4th and 2nd place! Well done sporty super
stars! Also, a huge thank you to Chloe's dad
who came and helped out at the event. On
Thursday this week 12 of our Y6 learners
took part in a table tennis completion at
Shawlands Primary School. They did really
well, with one team coming in third place and
one coming in
fourth place.
