This course is designed to develop language learning strategies,

ent effective use of reference and resources and
writing grammatically co
rrect sentences.
Math 11- College Algebra
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
A review of exponents, order of operations, factoring, and simpl
ifying polynomial, rational, and radical expressions. Topics include: linear,
quadratic,
polynomial, rational, inverse, exponential, and logarithmic func
tions and their
applications. Students will solve equations involving t
hese functions, and systems of linear equations in two variables, as well as in
equalities.
Philo 1- Philosophy of Man
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course introduces the student to major themes of philosophi
cal inquiry,
particularly that of the nature of the human person and the cent
ral issues of freedom, knowledge and the truth, interpersonal relations, and th
e search for the meaning and
purpose of life. The course not only provides st
udents with a general philosophical
understanding of what it means to be a p
erson, but also to deepen that misunderstanding
with a knowledge of how
personhood relates to other aspects of reality.

experience. It is designed to provide an opportunity to
learn the touch type on the
computer keyboard using correct techniques as we
ll as the development of speed and
accuracy. Students
will be introduc
ed to the formatting of personal and business letters, tables, notes,
memos, and reports.
