You may use clip art, PowerPoint, your own drawings, magazine cut-outs
(or WHATEVER U think of)... to illustrate your acrostic!

DUE:

Friday, February 12th

Keep in mind:
No pencil. (If you use it to help draft your illustration, go over it in pen or
marker.)
Use MAGAZINE cut-outs for the letters P,E,M,D,A, and S.
Use the entire 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. Poster may NOT be on any other size
paper! Poster should be vertical (not horizontal).
Poster should be colorful!
Lettering and illustrations may be done entirely by hand or using Word
(or some such application) and Clip Art. A combination of the two is often
the best way to go!
Spelling counts! Your teacher should have approved your sentence
BEFORE you began the poster. It may be silly, but should be grammatically
sound.
Neatness counts!
The illustration should convey the idea in your sentence.

NO blood, gore or other inappropriate topics should be written about or

illustrated.
Do not add in a bunch of extra words. Do your best to sum up your
acrostic sentence in just 6 words.
Do not mount the poster on anything. (Your teacher will do that later when
hanging projects up in the room.)
BE ORIGINAL!! (No Please excuse my dear Aunt Sarah or Please
excuse my daughter Annie Sue.)
Turn this project in ON TIME. One day late = 1 point taken off Two days
late = 2 points taken off etcetera
You had ~30 minutes in class to BEGIN this project and will have additional
time in class as well, but you will likely have to use time at home and in
advisory to finish it.
ASK your teacher should you need help with using clip art or anything else!
