Prey/eating habits
Normal diet: Adults are herbivores they eat sea grasses and algae1
Juvenile diet: are herbivores but will also eat many invertebrates like crabs,
jellyfish, & sponges1

Eating habits: Green sea turtles have finely serrated jaws adapted for a
vegetarian diet of sea grasses and algae. As adults, these are the only
herbivorous sea turtles.3
Predators
Species: sharks and killer whales4 -- man is also a predator to sea turtles7 8
Juvenile predators: foxes, dogs, birds, raccoons, crabs, lizards, and even
dingoes (dependent upon the area in which the beach is located) 8
Reason for predation: food source
Disease: Fibropapillomatosis- external tumors that may grow so large and
hanging as to hamper swimming, vision, feeding, and potential escape from
predators- widely common among green sea turtles (reason unknown)human caused pollution is thought to be a factor contributed to this disease
