LICK 1

CLAUDIO SAYS
The first lick starts with a fast scale based on the use of chromatics with the addition of
the major 2nd interval within the E minor pentatonic scale. Pay attention to this addition of
intervals because the natural 6th interval is avoided to suspend the nature of the mode.
The lick is based on the notes in the chords of the backing track by using triads and other
intervals like #4th for C major and natural 4th for the D major. Just before the end we use an
Emadd9 arpeggio.
