Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
The artifact that I have attached is the ongoing log for the fourth grade professional learning community (PLC). Each
Monday, our team meets to collaborate and discuss aspects of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. We use this
document to keep track of what conversations take place during our meeting. Each member has access to this document
to look back.

Reflection on artifact:
I have found our PLC time to be very beneficial. With seven sections of fourth grade, it can be difficult to stay on the
same page when it comes to curriculum, instruction, and assessment. We use this time to discuss how our curriculum
meets our student needs and if our assessments are assessing the Common Core standards with fidelity. This year we
have used much of our time looking into our Journeys curriculum. Since this is our districts second year with our new
curriculum, we have been able to look at the stories and the assessments and mold them to meet our students needs.
Over the summer, I will be attending a conference on Professional Learning Communities. I look forward to learning
more about how to use this time effectively and bring this information back to my team.
