GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION

When using electrical appliances,
basic precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to person,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using Heater.
2. Use this Heater only as described in this manual. Any
other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.
3. Make certain that the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the Heater.
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used
by or near children or invalids and whenever the Heater
is left operating unattended.
5. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
6. Plug Heater directly in to a 120V~ electrical wall outlet,
DO NOT plug Heater into any other cord connected devices, such as a power strip or surge protector. Where
possible, avoid the use of extension cords because the
extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. If
they must be used, minimize the risk of overheating by
ensuring that they are UL listed, a minimum No. 14 AWG,
rated not less than 1875 watts. Never use a single extension cord to operate more than one Heater.
7. Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or plug or
after the Heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return Heater to authorized service
facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment
or repair.
8. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the Heater.
Always unplug Heater when not in use.

10. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not place on soft surfaces, like a

operating, to avoid the chance of the Heater overturning. Locate the Power Cord so the Heater or other objects are not
resting on it. Do not run Power Cord under carpeting. Do not
cover Power Cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange
Power Cord away from room traffic and where it will not be tripped
over.
12. This Heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let
bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use handle when
moving this Heater. Keep combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains
at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the Heater and
keep them at least 1 foot (0.3 m) from the sides and rear.
13. A Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. It
must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such
as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden or wet atmospheres. This Heater is intended for general use ONLY.
14. This Heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations. Never locate a Heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
15. Do not use Heater outdoors.
16.This Heater includes an audible alarm to warn that parts of
the Heater are getting excessively hot. If the alarm sounds,
immediately turn the Heater off and inspect for any objects
on or adjacent to the Heater that may cause high
temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE
ALARM SOUNDING.

WARNING: DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ON/OFF

SWITCH AS THE SOLE MEANS OF DISCONNECTING POWER WHEN SERVICING OR MOVING THE
HEATER. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.

WARNING: REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT USE THIS HEATER WITH ANY
SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICES.

THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATION

(Figure 2)
1. Press the Mode Button until the display shows AUTO.
2. To adjust SET temperature, press the ( ) to increase the desired
temperature and the ( ) to decrease the desired temperature.
3. When the air temperature reaches 3 degrees above the SET temperature, the heater will cut off.
4. When the air temperature drops 1 degree below the SET temperature, the unit will come back on.
Note: It is normal for the Heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the SET temperature.

The Heater may be operated by the manual controls located on

the Heater (as shown in Figure 1) or by your remote control
(shown in Figure 3).
1. Carefully remove the Heater from the bag and the carton.
2. Place the Heater on a firm, level surface.
WARNING: Plastic or rubber tabs, like the feet on this unit, may
stick to furniture surfaces. The unit may leave a residue that could
darken, stain or leave permanent blemishes on the finish of certain
furniture surfaces, including wood surfaces.
3. Plug the cord set into a 120 V~ electrical outlet. Be sure plug fits
tightly in outlet. A loose fit will cause overheating and damage
the plug. Plug and cord set may feel warm during normal usage.
4. When the Heater is initially plugged in, the red light will come on
indicating that there is power to the unit. The red light will remain
lit until the Heater is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
5. Turn the Heater ON by pressing the Power Button.
6. When initially turned on, the Heater will display the current
Room temperature in Fahrenheit. Press the ( ) and ( )
buttons at the same time until the display reflects Celsius.
Pressing the same buttons again will change the display
back to Fahrenheit.
7. Upon turning the Heater on, the display will reflect Room along
with the current temperature. The unit will be in the High heat
mode. (1500 Watts)
8. Pressing the Mode Button at this point will set the Heater into
Low heat mode. (900 Watts)
9. Pressing the Mode Button once more will set the Heater into
AUTO mode. Notice that the display now reflects a SET temperature indicator. (See Thermostat Instructions)
10.To turn the Heater OFF, press the Power Button ( ) and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. The Heater will reset to
Fahrenheit after being unplugged.

ADVERTENCIA: NO SUMERJA EL CALENTADOR EN AGUA
LIMPIEZA: IMPORTANTE! Limpia la parrilla de la Calentadora
con la fijacin de cepillo de vaco de su limpiador del vaco. Esto

1. Install the two AAA batteries supplied as shown.
2. The Remote Control Power button is labeled with the ( ) symbol.
3. All the functions performed with the Remote Control work identically to the Manual Controls.

Oscillation Function:
The oscillation function will work in any mode. Pressing the Oscillation Button (OSC) will allow the Heater to oscillate back and forth. To
stop the oscillation, press the Oscillation Button (OSC) once more.

Power
Button

Timer Function:
The timer function will work in any mode. The timer function allows
you to set the length of operation from 1 hour to 8 hours. Pressing the Timer Button will increase the length of operation by 1
hour each time the button is pressed. Pressing the Timer Button
once more after the display reflects 8 hours will reset the Heater
to continuously running. Once the timer has been set, the timer will
count down the hours in 1 hour increments, showing on the display
the remaining operating time. The Heater will turn itself off when
the set time has lapsed. The unit can be turned back by pressing
the Power Button.

OPERACIN
Este Calefactor puede operarse mediante los controles manuales
ubicados en el Calefactor (como se indica en la Figura 1) o mediante
su control remoto (como se indica en la Figura 3).
1. Retire cuidadosamente el Calefactor de su bolsa y caja.
2. Coloque el Calefactor sobre una superficie firme y plana.
ADVERTENCIA: Las etiquetas de plstico o caucho, quieren los
pies en esta unidad, pueden atascar a superficies de muebles. La
unidad puede salir un residuo que podra oscurecer, poder manchar
o podra salir imperfecciones permanentes en el fin de ciertas
superficies de muebles, inclusive superficies de madera.
3. Enchufe el cable elctrico a un tomacorriente de 120V.
Asegrese que el enchufe quede bien ajustado. Un ajuste suelto

7. La unidad visualizar la temperatura Room (ambiente) actual.
Al encender el Calefactor, la unidad estar en el modo de
calefaccin High (alto). (1500 vatios)
8. Si oprime el Botn De Mode (modo) en este momento,
el Calefactor funcionar en el modo de calefaccin Low
(bajo) (900 vatios)
9. Si oprime una vez ms el Botn De Mode (Modo), el Calefactor
funcionar en el modo AUTO (automtico). La pantalla ahora
visualiza un indicador de temperatura SET (fija). (Vase las
Instrucciones del Termostato)
10.Para girar la Calentadora LEJOS, apretar el Botn De
Encendido ( ) y quitar la unidad de la salida elctrica.
La Calentadora repondr a Fahrenheit despus que
para ser quitado.

MAINTENANCE

1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.

2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will automatically shut-off. It can only resume operation when the unit is
reset. (See reset instructions below).

SERVICING.

WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR

WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER.
CLEANING: IMPORTANT! Clean the Heater grill with the

CONTROL REMOTO (Figura 3)

forma regresiva en intervalos de 1 hora, indicando el tiempo de
operacin restante en la pantalla, hasta que el Calefactor se apague
solo. Si oprime una vez ms el Botn De Temporizado (TIMER)
despus de que la pantalla indique 8 horas, reiniciar el Calefactor
para que funcione en forma continua.

INFORMACIN GENERAL DE SEGURIDAD

provocar riesgo de incendio. Si debieren usarse, minimice el
riesgo de sobrecalentamiento procurando que estn autorizados
por UL, con un calibre mnimo N14 AWG, para no menos de
1875 vatios. Nunca use una extensin elctrica para hacer

OPERACIN
Este Calefactor puede operarse mediante los controles manuales
ubicados en el Calefactor (como se indica en la Figura 1) o mediante
su control remoto (como se indica en la Figura 3).
1. Retire cuidadosamente el Calefactor de su bolsa y caja.
2. Coloque el Calefactor sobre una superficie firme y plana.
ADVERTENCIA: Las etiquetas de plstico o caucho, quieren los
pies en esta unidad, pueden atascar a superficies de muebles. La
unidad puede salir un residuo que podra oscurecer, poder manchar
o podra salir imperfecciones permanentes en el fin de ciertas
superficies de muebles, inclusive superficies de madera.
3. Enchufe el cable elctrico a un tomacorriente de 120V.
Asegrese que el enchufe quede bien ajustado. Un ajuste suelto

7. La unidad visualizar la temperatura Room (ambiente) actual.
Al encender el Calefactor, la unidad estar en el modo de
calefaccin High (alto). (1500 vatios)
8. Si oprime el Botn De Mode (modo) en este momento,
el Calefactor funcionar en el modo de calefaccin Low
(bajo) (900 vatios)
9. Si oprime una vez ms el Botn De Mode (Modo), el Calefactor
funcionar en el modo AUTO (automtico). La pantalla ahora
visualiza un indicador de temperatura SET (fija). (Vase las
Instrucciones del Termostato)
10.Para girar la Calentadora LEJOS, apretar el Botn De
Encendido ( ) y quitar la unidad de la salida elctrica.
La Calentadora repondr a Fahrenheit despus que

MAINTENANCE

CONTROL REMOTO (Figura 3)

1. Instale las dos pilas AAA que se acompaan, como se indica

THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATION

(Figure 2)
1. Press the Mode Button until the display shows AUTO.
2. To adjust SET temperature, press the ( ) to increase the desired
temperature and the ( ) to decrease the desired temperature.
3. When the air temperature reaches 3 degrees above the SET temperature, the heater will cut off.
4. When the air temperature drops 1 degree below the SET temperature, the unit will come back on.
Note: It is normal for the Heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the SET temperature.

The Heater may be operated by the manual controls located on

the Heater (as shown in Figure 1) or by your remote control
(shown in Figure 3).
1. Carefully remove the Heater from the bag and the carton.
2. Place the Heater on a firm, level surface.
WARNING: Plastic or rubber tabs, like the feet on this unit, may
stick to furniture surfaces. The unit may leave a residue that could
darken, stain or leave permanent blemishes on the finish of certain
furniture surfaces, including wood surfaces.
3. Plug the cord set into a 120 V~ electrical outlet. Be sure plug fits
tightly in outlet. A loose fit will cause overheating and damage
the plug. Plug and cord set may feel warm during normal usage.
4. When the Heater is initially plugged in, the red light will come on
indicating that there is power to the unit. The red light will remain
lit until the Heater is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
5. Turn the Heater ON by pressing the Power Button.
6. When initially turned on, the Heater will display the current
Room temperature in Fahrenheit. Press the ( ) and ( )
buttons at the same time until the display reflects Celsius.
Pressing the same buttons again will change the display
back to Fahrenheit.
7. Upon turning the Heater on, the display will reflect Room along
with the current temperature. The unit will be in the High heat
mode. (1500 Watts)
8. Pressing the Mode Button at this point will set the Heater into
Low heat mode. (900 Watts)
9. Pressing the Mode Button once more will set the Heater into
AUTO mode. Notice that the display now reflects a SET temperature indicator. (See Thermostat Instructions)
10.To turn the Heater OFF, press the Power Button ( ) and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. The Heater will reset to
Fahrenheit after being unplugged.

LIMPIEZA: IMPORTANTE! Limpia la parrilla de la Calentadora
con la fijacin de cepillo de vaco de su limpiador del vaco. Esto

2. The Remote Control Power button is labeled with the ( ) symbol.
3. All the functions performed with the Remote Control work identically to the Manual Controls.

Oscillation Function:
The oscillation function will work in any mode. Pressing the Oscillation Button (OSC) will allow the Heater to oscillate back and forth. To
stop the oscillation, press the Oscillation Button (OSC) once more.

Button

Timer Function:
The timer function will work in any mode. The timer function allows
you to set the length of operation from 1 hour to 8 hours. Pressing the Timer Button will increase the length of operation by 1
hour each time the button is pressed. Pressing the Timer Button
once more after the display reflects 8 hours will reset the Heater
to continuously running. Once the timer has been set, the timer will
count down the hours in 1 hour increments, showing on the display
the remaining operating time. The Heater will turn itself off when
the set time has lapsed. The unit can be turned back by pressing
the Power Button.
