Design and Engineering (GLIDE)

Osborne High School GLIDErs will help shape the future. GLIDE (Guiding
Learners through Innovation, Design and Engineering) is
planned to promote student curiosity, engagement and the
development of ideas that synergize STEM based practices as
well as construction, the arts and the humanities. Students
who join the GLIDErs will start with
engineering, construction, physics and
mathematics as their core focus and then expand on those
ideas as they advance through the pathways.
Imagine designing a trebuchet (catapult type siege engine from ancient
battlefields) in one class, building it in another and then testing it as part of a
third course. All while earning credit, solving problems and finding your niche
within todays fast paced world or evolving technologies and ideas.

Why Choose ACE?

An ideal ACE student will be one who sees themselves working in a
corporate or entrepreneurial environment. ACE students will learn the
broad basics of the business world and get to participate in both realistic
simulations and real world activities.
Students will specialize in business, auto mechanics, agriculture or
graphic design. ACE will provide the opportunity to learn the business
side of these trades, preparing them for all aspects of that field, including
earning nationally recognized certifications. ACE graduates will be
financially literate and prepared to compete in a competitive workforce.

The Criminal Justice, Forensics, & JROTC Academy

It is the goal of the Criminal Justice, Forensics, and JROTC Academy to help
students become responsible and informed citizens. As part of the Criminal Justice,
Forensics, and JROTC Academy, students will explore and gain knowledge
specialized in areas such as Civics, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, Law
Enforcement, and Military Science (JROTC).
Our mission is to promote and build positive relationships with students, our
community, and local law enforcement. With the number of job openings increasing in
this area of study, there are several career options for students who are interested in
Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, and Military Science (JROTC).
