Arrest/Wanted Subject
On Monday, February 8, 2016, a Precinct 1 Officer patrolling the Forest Hill area observed a
blue Honda Accord violating several traffic violations. The officer later conducted a traffic stop
on Forest Hill Rd. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Darrius McElroy fled the scene running
on foot into a wooded area after the officer identified what appeared to be narcotics in the
vehicle. He was not apprehended. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as, Shaquile
Hinton.
Further investigation of the officer resulted in over 2lbs. of marijuana, 17 ounces of Codeine and
other drug paraphernalia being recovered. A Glock pistol was also recovered and over $9,000.00
in US Currency was seized.
Shaquile Hinton was later arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to
Distribute while in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Codeine with Intent to Distribute
while in Possession of a Firearm.
Darrius McElroy was later confirmed to be a Convicted Felon. He has been charged with
Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
while in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Codeine with Intent to Distribute while in
Possession of a Firearm.
