In the Wilson Middle School Numeracy Program, we have dedicated our efforts to growing and developing your childs numeracy skills over the last six weeks of school. In an effort to help you understand your childs numeracy progression, we have chosen to share our perspective on the following aspects of numeracy development within the context of your childs independent numeracy ability: number sense and problem solving. Please note that the anecdotal comments are the focus for growth for each individual child, and that the numerical mark that has been awarded for the class has been based on a series of self and teacher evaluated rubrics determining effort and participation. The goal of the numeracy program is to develop lifelong numeracy skills and is not intended to be an evaluative course. Please contact your childs numeracy teacher with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued support of your childs numeracy journey. Sincerely, The Wilson Middle School Numeracy Team
