Corps empowers Los
Angeles teens to inspire
a love of reading
in local elementary
students, fostering new
generations of leaders
and readers.

Every year, over 600 high school students are trained as

Reading Buddies for elementary school students.

TLC program evaluation

shows that:
Elementary school
students who have teen
mentors demonstrate
increases in literacy
skills and self-esteem
Teen mentors experience
substantial gains in selfempowerment and college
attendance.

Through the KOREH

L.A. Book Initiative
we restock the empty
shelves of LAUSDs
neediest elementary
school libraries and
place books in the
hands of students.
Our many programs
help us foster a love of
reading in the children
of Los Angeles.

Corporate KOREH empowers businesses to give back to their community

by acting as sponsors.
