Objective: Examine how well the suns energy heat various objects
Materials: 3 glasses or plastic cups, black construction paper,aluminum foil,3
thermometers, pair of scissors, stop watch, stiff cardboard
Procedure:
a. Cut out three cardboard tops for the jar and make a hole in each lid large
enough to hold a thermometer.
b. Wrap one of the jars with black construction paper, the second with
aluminum foil and leave the third jar as it is.
c. Fill each jar with water and cover them with their lids. Carefully insert the
thermometer through each lid. The bulb must be below the surface of water
d. Record the thermometer reading of each jar every 3 minutes interval
e. Make a graph featuring time and temperature.
Data and Results: Make a graph or table to record observation
