Youre invited to participate in the 46th Annual YLA Conference to be held April 1 - 3, 2016, at the
Doubletree Hotel in Raleigh, NC. This is your opportunity to learn the North Carolina legislative process
and to express your opinions on issues facing local, state, and national governments. We hope you will
take advantage of this opportunity to let your voice be heard by the leaders of our state.
Registration forms are available at www.ncyaio.com. The registration deadline is February 19, 2016
(postmarked). Conference participation is on a first come, first served basis, so register early! We have a
very limited number of spaces available for students registering without an identified chaperone. There
are NO refunds for cancelations received after March 1, 2016.
Overview
April 1, 2016: Participant Check-in is 9:00 11:00am at Doubletree Hotel (Required)
April 1, 2016: Opening General Session convenes 12:00noon at NC Legislative Building
April 3, 2016: Sine Die (General Session ends) at 1:00pm or slightly thereafter
Registration packages must include registration fee in the form of a check (NO CASH!) Registrations
will NOT be processed unless ALL FORMS (1 6) are signed by student and parent/guardian for
students. Chaperone forms will NOT be processed unless ALL FORMS (1 -3) are signed.
