Character Traits and Motives

Characters traits are used by authors to help readers identify each character as well as to
care about the characters journey in the story. The motives of a character are what
determine a characters actions. In the activity, you will be identifying characters based on
their character traits and motives. With your group move around the room and stop at
each station to identify the character, then move to the next station. There are 12 total.

Now it is your turn. Come up with two characters then describe each ones
character traits and motives without giving the character away. Then trade
your sheet with another group and try to figure out the character that they
chose.
