Learn how to use Victorian human rights and equal
opportunity laws to strengthen your advocacy to achieve
better outcomes, improved services and greater access.

This workshop will:


outline the Victorian Equal Opportunity Act 2010 and the Charter of Human Rights
and Responsibilities Act 2006 with a focus on disability protections;
discuss how employers, education providers and providers of goods and services
must make reasonable adjustments for people with disability;
explain how public authorities must consider human rights when developing policies
and delivering services;
explain how the Commission can help you resolve disputes about discrimination;
and
use practical and relevant examples and case studies.
