East Bay Business Leaders Scholarship 2010

Scholarship Amount: $1,000

Deadline to Submit Application and Essay: May 21, 2010

Eligibility Requirements
• High school senior pursuing higher education in the Fall of 2010 whose goal is to become an
entrepreneur in any business or profession
• Resident of East Bay Area

Your Application Must Include the Following:

• Complete Name
• Address
• Phone number
• E-mail address
• Name of current high school
• Two references (include name, contact number, and relationship to applicant)
• Name of school/program attending in Fall 2010

Your One-Page Essay (12 pt. font) Should Include the Following:

• Information about your professional goal and interests

• Personal successes
• How your particular goal will benefit society when you complete your studies
• Your financial circumstances, and how you believe a scholarship will help you to achieve your
professional goal

All finalists will be asked to interview in person with the East Bay Business Leaders on June 24, 2010,
between 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Scholarship will be awarded on July 29, 2010, at our evening social
mixer. The recipient’s family is welcome to attend.

employed business persons giving back to the community by providing scholarships to young individuals
