Processing
A properly prepared substrate surface is essential to
‘echiove conalctontolaatemer bend performance. All
‘ll, grease and other soluble contamination should be
removed by solvent degreasing or alkaline cleaning,
us, scale and other non-soluble contaminants should
bbe removed by mechanical or chemical methods.
Gait blasting is the most commoniy used mechanical
method. A second degreasing stage after te mechan
ical eatment is strongly recommenced to remove
residual grease, ol and abradad dusts. Chemical
treatments for ferrous substrates usually involve the
