Overall Comments: Ms. Pennington had a successful second year at Carlin Springs Elementary
School. She showed much growth in her professional knowledge and in
implementing a co-teaching model with one of her colleagues. I know that she
will be a wonderful addition to any school community. I applaud her efforts and
dedication to the students and wish her the best of luck next year! Thank you

Achievement assessments, student work
and daily classroom performance to
group students for instruction and to
measure student growth on a regular
basis. Her documentation log shows
evidence of her ability to organize
data to guide planning and regrouping
of students as well as her ability to
develop short and long-term goals for
the children. It also showed how Mrs.
Pennington planned collaborative with
her math co-teacher to meet the needs
of all students and how they often
adjusted or adapted lessons based on
students' abilities and performance.

assessments to monitor student growth
and understanding. She used data to
develop expectations for her students,
differentiate instruction, adapt her
instructional pacing and adjust student
s learning. She utilized different
assessment tools to inform, guide and
support instruction. Ms. Pennington
provided teachers in the general
education classroom with timely,
consistent and frequent feedback on how
the students were progressing in her
groups and what they needed to continue
working on.This allowed for immediate
changes if students were not making the
expected gains. She also worked with

Ms. Pennington's Smart Goal focused on
her students making measurable growth
in the Number and Number Sense strand
based on the Interactive Achievement
math assessment. Overall when looking
at the third quarter data only 9/24
students met the goal; however, when
looking at all data points from the
beginning of year through the third
quarter 23/24 students met the goal.
The only student who did not meet the
goal did demonstrate progress
throughout the year.
