FIRMWARE UPDATE
Using DSE Configuration Suite

Requirements for Firmware Update are:

PC or Laptop with the latest version of DSE
Configuration Suite installed.
DSE Module requiring update.
USB cable or DSE 813 interface (depending
upon controller type).
DC power supply for the DSE module.

Preparatory Steps
Launch the Configuration
Suite
Connect the module
Read the Configuration
Save the Configuration to
your hard drive
Go to the menu bar:
Tools -> Update Firmware

Choose the correct Firmware Update File based on

module and version number, then click Next.

If an inappropriate Firmware Update File is selected,

an error message is displayed.

Follow the onscreen instructions and the update process

will begin automatically when the module restarts.

The update file is transferred to the module.

After a few seconds, the update process is complete.

Congratulations! Now we have an updated module.

Note for Version compatibility:

DSE modules can be updated to the most recent
firmware version, with exceptions as listed below.
DSE 73xx and 72xx version 1, 2 and 3 can only be
updated to Version 4.
DSE 73xx and 72xx version 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 can
be updated to Version 12.
