Equipment and Manufacturers Experience

The Bidder shall select only from the list of Approved Manufacturers of Materials/Equipment.

B.3

Spares and Spare Parts

B.3.1

Spare conductors are indicated in the Schedules of Prices for Spare Materials for this project. It is understood that these
spares will be used only by the Owner in case of damage or occurrence of defects of the conductors outside of the
warranty period. The Contractor therefore is obliged to provide sufficient quantities as replacements for failure or
damages during transport, storage, installation and stringing operation and during the duration of the warranty period.

B.4

Tools

B.4.1

No particular tools intended for the Owner will be required for the supply of power conductors. Tools and equipment
necessary for the installation and stringing of power conductors shall be the full responsibility of the Contractor and its
return to the country of origin if such tools and equipment would be sourced abroad, after the completion of the work.

B.5

Spares
The Contractor shall also provide spare conductor for the Project in the quantity of three (3) reels for 795 MCM
ACSR/AS. Except for the power conductors requirements which are all in wooden reels, the spare conductors shall be
in 100% metal reels. The Contractor is obliged to follow strictly this requirement. The Owner will not accept spare
conductors in wooden reels. The requirements for spare Power Conductors shall be included in the pay item for
Spares in the Bid Price Schedules. The cost shall be inclusive of all works required for the delivery and proper
storage at the designated storage areas for spare Power Conductor. The length of conductor per reel shall be 2000
meters.
