These units integrate dance, drama, visual arts, and literacy and can be adapted for use
across all elementary grades. Teachers are encouraged to use these units in a variety of

Alternatively, teachers may choose to dip into a unit, and focus in on the dance,
drama, or visual arts activities for a shorter period of time.

written from different points of view and defend their position on the issue at this
point in time, based on the arguments and the evidence presented by the two writers of
